The Emerald Lakers uniform is more than just what we wear on court. It’s a direct link to the club’s beginnings.

Founded in 1989, the club’s name and colours were chosen to reflect the local landscape, inspired by Emerald Lake and the surrounding forests. Soon after, a competition was held to design the club logo. The winning design came from Ben Bush, a player and Emerald Secondary College student at the time.

That original logo, featuring the now-iconic Lake Monster, remains part of the Lakers' uniform today. It represents strength, identity and our connection to place, and continues to be worn with pride across generations of players.

While the club has since introduced an updated logo for merchandise and official communications, the traditional Lakers uniform remains a constant. It’s a symbol of where we’ve come from, and the community that continues to wear it every weekend.
