Emerald Lakers Basketball Club are proudly part of the Knox Basketball League- a community-based club consisting of 45 junior boys and girls teams competing in the Knox Amateur Basketball Association, catering for ages 5 to 23.

Domestic Play
Round 1 Summer Season begins early October and runs through early April, and Round 2 Winter Season begins in late April and runs through mid-September each year. Juniors U8’s to U16’s play on Saturdays and U19’s & U23’s play on Sundays. We have teams for girls and boys of all skill levels - Under 8s through to Under 23’s, including mid-week seniors.

Membership Fees and Payments
Current Fees:
$32 – Junior (17 and under) playing participant
$46 – Senior (18 and over) playing participant
Basketball Australia Levy Fee $5.00 (+GST) per competition player
$5 - Beginner participant - Beginner Basketball Program Participant (per term). Applies to all pre-domestic-level weekly introduction-to-basketball programs, including Little Lakers and Laker Ready.

Pre April 2026: Before registering with the Emerald Lakers, you will need to register with PlayHQ to obtain a username and password. The Basketball Victoria PlayHQ fee is separate from the club registration costs. You will pay your BV Participation Fee when you register to play basketball. Basketball Victoria charges an annual fee, which covers your player license and player insurance.

Club payment policy - "No Pay, No Play"
Players must be fully registered and have their fees up to date to participate in games.
